An exhibit commemorating the historic signing of the Treaty of Kanagawa between Japan and the U.S. Fort Adams State Park is the host site for the Naval War College Museum’s panel exhibit remembering Commodore Perry’s visit to Japan that would lead to “a perfect, permanent, and universal peace and a sincere and cordial amity” between the two countries
