10am-4pm - Victorian Servants Tours- The Astors' Beechwood Mansion 580 Bellevue Ave. Step back to 1891 as you apply for a position at the home of Mrs. Astor- queen of American Society. 5pm- Rum & Revolution Tour. A toast to taverns and tippling, this walking tour is an entertaining & informative history of drinking. Colonial taverns were centers of politics & news. For centuries, Newporters have gotten wealthy, on rum, a critical aspect of the seaport's history. Through jovial, authentic history telling, learn about the changing role of alcohol in our culture. Stores and restaurants throughout Newport compete to create the best-decorated windows either incorporating this year's Winter Festival theme Enchanted Winters, or the Best Use of Festival Sponsors' Logos. 8pm - Bruce at the Pickens Throughout the 1970s & '80s Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band barnstormed America, rocking audiences in clubs and performing arts centers all across the country. Many were, in fact, classic theaters from the Golden Age of vaudeville and "picture shows". Bruce's fondness for these iconic Movie Palaces has lead to his commitment to support fundraisers to help community-based theaters underwrite an ongoing digital cinema program. Emerging and the Jane Pickens Theater & Event Center are proud to partner up with Bruce in making his thrilling HD concert film available to you.
